WCMX or Wheel Chair Moto Cross is a new para sport that involves taking your wheelchair to the Skatepark and doing tricks on it, we are proud to support WCMX riders and are running monthly coaching sessions in association with IWS.
Spectators are also welcome, just come down, hang out and see what it’s about!
Graystone will provide basic protective equipment. Wheelchairs will need to be mechanically sound. Chairs must be solid frames (not folding).
There will be Spotters and Pushers to assist riders should they be required.
We also now have a WCMX chair free to use thanks to the generosity of our regular shredder Tomas Woods (pictured above). It's a chair hand-built in California made by Tom Finch. The bucket style seat akin to a sit ski means the chair can fit anyone from 12-16" instead of the standard 13", meaning it's much more versatile. The chair uses state of the art suspension from DVO and the strongest wheel available from Spinergy with the spokes made out of kevlar!
